Laura Hunovice, co-author of Teaching First-Grade Math, has over 20 years of experience as an educator, most recently as a math coach supporting pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in Carroll County, Maryland. She is a core member of the Elementary Math Specialists and Teacher Leaders project—a project committed to helping math specialists effectively lead and mentor their colleagues—who has also presented at several state and national conferences.
Marcy Myers, co-author of Teaching Kindergarten Math, has over 20 years of education experience, both as a classroom teacher and currently as an elementary mathematics resource teacher supporting pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in a Title I school. She is certified as a mathematics instructional leader, a core member of the Elementary Math Specialists and Teacher Leaders project, and has also presented at several state and national conferences.
