A Hot Tip For Grant Proposals

While reading Jim Burke’s book, I’ll Grant You That: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Funds, Designing Winning Projects and Writing Powerful Grant Proposals, I found a “Hot Tip” that I thought I’d share with teachers writing grant proposals:

“When seeking letters of endorsement from administrators, community leaders, or clients in support of your proposal, be sure that they can refer specifically to those goals and objectives outlined in your proposal, and show how their resources will be committed to the successful implementation of your project. This dramatically increases the credibility of the proposal in the reader’s eyes, as those who will help implement it, along with those who will be helped by the proposed program, can publicly and articulately speak in support of its goals and objectives.”

Check out the Heinemann Grant Assistance page for more information to assist you with your grant funding process.
